Things are crazy as I try to write lists so that I don’t forget anything important behind! It’s not like I can just pop back to collect things when I’m half-way around the world. Plus, I’ve been told that I will battle to find things like shoes in South Korea, as well as trousers (but then that’s nothing new!) so I am trying my best to be organised (not my strong point) as well as pack reasonably light (also not my strong point!) And no, I will not forego my GHD!

This seems to have all happened so fast, yet I have been waiting since February to find a teaching job in the Far East. Thankfully, Dannon put me in touch with one of her friends over there and Krystle has been an amazing help, not to mention that she ultimately got me this job by putting me in contact with her co-ordinator. I hope to meet up with Krystle and her fiancee when I am settled over there.

At this stage I don’t know much about anything really. Only that I will be living and working in the city of Cheonan, which is in the Chungnam province. My biggest fear was arriving at Seoul airport and not having a clue about how to get to where I am going. Thankfully, today I received an e-mail from Raquel (mine and Krystle’s co-ordinator) and she will be waiting at the airport to meet me and ferry me to my new home. Relief!!
